The process was not always easy. While waiting for SK’s work authorization, the couple faced uncertainty about their future while raising a toddler, adjusting to life in the United States, and trying to obtain necessary documents from South Africa during lockdown. At the same time, they were understandably concerned about family members living abroad.
Throughout the process, SK and SC remained focused on what mattered most: being able to build their family’s life together in one country.
