U.S. Citizenship Application Approved After Correcting Critical Errors
Correcting Citizenship Application Errors Before the Naturalization Interview
Congratulations to OD on becoming a U.S. citizen!
OD came to Khalique Law very worried about his citizenship application and upcoming naturalization interview. His application had already been filed before he came to see me, but he had since realized that it contained critical errors that needed to be corrected.
He was also concerned about how to address questions related to his previous immigration history. We carefully reviewed his entire immigration record, identified the issues that could affect his case, and corrected the errors before his interview. We also thoroughly prepared him for what to expect and how to answer questions about his immigration history.
At the interview, I was there with OD to address the legal issues that arose. Understandably, he was incredibly nervous—his hands were even shaking during the written portion of the naturalization test. Despite his nerves, he passed his tests with flying colors!
After the interview, the officer asked us to wait outside while she reviewed the case with her supervisor. About half an hour later, she returned with the news we had been hoping for: there were no outstanding issues, and OD’s citizenship application would be approved.
I cannot articulate the look of happiness that swept over OD’s face. Becoming a U.S. citizen meant so much to him, and I was extremely happy to share that moment with him.
Now, with his citizenship secured, OD is looking forward to the next chapter of his immigration journey: petitioning for his spouse.
Congratulations, OD, and thank you for trusting Khalique Law with your immigration journey and for being part of the Khalique Law family.
If you are preparing to file a citizenship application—or have concerns about an application you have already submitted—book a consultation with Khalique Law for an assessment of your eligibility and case.
