Marriage-Based Green Card Approved for Citizen of Spain and Colombia

Marriage-based Green Card Success Story

Marriage-Based Green Card Approved

Congratulations to EJ and SJ on the successful approval of SJ’s marriage-based Green Card!

SJ, a citizen of Spain and Colombia, received approval for permanent residency in the United States following a successful marriage-based immigration application. Khalique Law was proud to guide EJ and SJ through the process, from preparing their initial applications to getting ready for their Green Card interview.

Navigating the Marriage-Based Green Card Process

Applying for a marriage-based Green Card involves several important steps, and understanding which forms to file and when can make the process easier to navigate.

For EJ and SJ, Khalique Law prepared and submitted multiple immigration applications together, including:

  • Spouse Petition: Establishing the qualifying marital relationship as the basis for the Green Card application.
  • Green Card Application: Applying for SJ to become a lawful permanent resident of the United States.
  • Work Permit Application: Requesting employment authorization while the Green Card application was pending.
  • Travel Permit Application: Requesting authorization for international travel while the application was being processed.

Filing these applications concurrently allowed EJ and SJ to pursue permanent residency while also requesting employment and travel authorization during the process.

Preparing for the Marriage-Based Green Card Interview

An important part of the marriage-based immigration process is preparing for the interview with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

Khalique Law worked closely with EJ and SJ to help them understand what to expect during their interview and feel prepared for this important step.

Following their interview, SJ’s Green Card application was approved!

This successful outcome marks an exciting milestone for EJ and SJ as they continue building their future together in the United States.

Another Successful Green Card Approval for Khalique Law

At Khalique Law, we understand how important the immigration process is for couples and families. Every approved Green Card represents an opportunity for loved ones to build their lives together with greater stability and peace of mind.

It was a pleasure working with EJ and SJ throughout their immigration journey. We are thrilled to celebrate their successful outcome and thankful to have them as part of the Khalique Law family.

Congratulations again, EJ and SJ!
