LR, a citizen of China filed a 601-A waiver application on behalf of his spouse, Rosendo, who is a Mexican citizen. Once the 601-A waiver was approved, we assisted and prepared Rosendo for his interview in Mexico before the consulate in Ciudad Juarez. We meticulously assembled all the necessary documents for him, conducted a mock interview to help him prepare, and provided him with physical packets of all the necessary documents that he would need for the medical exam and actual interview. We also helped him register the interview, schedule the medical exam, and coordinate the pickup of his passport.
During the interview, everything proceeded smoothly. Following the interview, we provided Rosendo with instructions on how to pay the immigrant visa fee and what to anticipate upon returning to the United States. We addressed all his questions and guided him through the process of obtaining his Green Card after he returned to the U.S.
It’s a very nerve-wracking process when someone returns to their home country after so many years, to do the consular interview, for the 601a waiver. I’m glad I was able to help Rosendo successfully get through this experience and be there by his side so he did not feel alone. It was a pleasure working with LR and Rosendo, and I am thankful to have had the opportunity to represent them and have them be a part of the Khalique Law family.
