LR is a citizen of Bangladesh. We obtained a U-Visa Certification for her. We also filed her asylum application and obtained a work permit for her. There were various complications with her case due to her being filed as a dependent on another asylum case and obtaining her work permit. However, we resolved the issues and got her a work permit so she can work while her asylum case is pending. Getting her work permit has completely changed her options in the U.S. because now she is able to work as a medical assistant and pursue greater career opportunities and change her life.
